Read in 2 minutes
Have you switched to e-invoicing and would you like to receive future invoices as e-invoices? In the simple guide below, you can read how to start receiving e-invoices from the social security fund Securex.
Guide to receiving e-invoices from Securex
Make things easier for yourself by automating part of the invoicing process by activating e-invoicing.
- Register with Peppol: first, sign up with Peppol. Read here how to do this.
- Automatic e-invoice delivery: after registering with an accredited Peppol provider, Securex will ensure that you receive all payment requests as e-invoices. They will send you a notification via email beforehand.
What is e-invoicing?
Just a reminder: e-invoices are not the same as digital invoices. A PDF is a digital invoice, but it is definitely not an e-invoice. Furthermore, all Belgian self-employed individuals will be required to work with e-invoices starting in 2026.
E-invoices are specific XML files sent in UBL format via the Peppol network. These UBL standards ensure that all necessary information is included on the invoice and that it is readable by accounting or invoicing software, such as Accountable.
💡 Accountable tip: You can use Accountable to receive and send e-invoices via the Peppol network, even in our free plan. Try Accountable now.
