Have you registered with Peppol and would you now like to receive future invoices as e-invoices? With social counter Partena, it’s already possible. In this short guide, we’ll explain how to set it up.

- Contact your Partena representative to activate e-invoicing.
What is e-invoicing and Peppol?
E-invoices are not equal to digital invoices. For example, a PDF of an invoice is a digital invoice, but not an e-invoice. From 2026, all Belgian self-employed individuals will be required to switch to e-invoicing.
E-invoices consist of specific XML files sent in UBL format via the Peppol network. These UBL standards ensure that all necessary information is included on the invoice and that it is readable by accounting or invoicing software, such as Accountable.
💡Accountable tip: You can use Accountable to receive and send e-invoices via the Peppol network, even in our free plan. Try Accountable now.

Once your registration is complete, you can start receiving e-invoices from your social security fund and other suppliers that support e-invoicing. Your e-invoices will automatically appear in the expenses screen in Accountable.
However, not every social secretariat will automatically send you an e-invoice. Contact your representative at Partena for more information.
