E-invoicing is not the same as digital invoicing, such as a PDF or a scanned invoice. An e-invoice is a specific XML file sent in UBL format via the Peppol network. Thanks to these UBL standards, all the necessary information is included on the invoice, allowing accounting or invoicing software like Accountable to read it.
